Things like composition and proportions, and the general whooshiness of images I do much better on pen and paper. However, the editability of digital work is also a delight.
It doesn't look that horrible at a distance. Click closer at your own risk. T_T

On a different note, I need to draw SIMPLER. Simplify, simplify, simplify!
I have some pen-on-paper drawings there, but, it's not a scanning kind of day, so nyah, I guess. Basically there's some junk and one decent Terra, so you're not missing much.

That's actually not too bad for a basic physical frame appearance for Ameixia.
The only question that remains is: what kind of extra armor layers would look good and yet be functional?
The drawing looks fine, even up close.
Yeah, the hair is a bit stiff and her shoulders aren't quite right but don't let yourself get bogged down in the little things or you wont ever get anywhere :p
Hehe. I think I have the armor. It's one of the drawings I didn't scan.
Cobalt, as you say, one can't get bogged down with details...
